Queensland Flood Appeal

Dear customers:
Queensland is currently in the grips of one of its darkest periods. The flash flooding crisis continues to take deadly twists and turns. The death toll and dozens of people missing has steadily risen during the day. Major search and rescue operations are underway. The floods have reached Toowoomba, Ipswich and now Brisbane. Residents are evacuating low-lying suburbs and a huge evacuation area has been set up. Premier, Anna Bligh has launched an appeal to help victims of Queensland's devastating floods. Donations can be made in person at any Queensland branch of the Bank of Queensland, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, ANZ, NAB or Suncorp. Cheques can be made out to the Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal, or go to the Queensland government website, www.qld.gov.au/floods. The Australian Red Cross has agreed to manage the distribution of the donated funds on behalf of the Queensland government. Chiatrition Chia seeds urges our customers to give generously where possible, and/or to spare a quiet thought for the victims, their families and their loved ones, and the emergency and support services who are working tirelessly to deal with the emerging disasters caused by flooding.
